According to On3, the Georgia Bulldogs were the victims of one of the worst officiating calls of the 2024 college football season.

On3 recently detailed the 10 worst officiating calls of the 2024 season and they ranked the overturned pass interference call in Georgia's win against the Texas Longhorns at No. 3.

In the third quarter, with Georgia leading by 15 points, Longhorns cornerback Jahdae Barron intercepted Carson Beck and returned it 36 yards.

Texas was called for defensive pass interference on the play, which wiped the interception off the board.

After a lengthy delay due to fans throwing trash on the field, the officials overturned the defensive pass interference call, which resulted in the interception standing (the play was non-reviewable).

The overturned call didn't impact the outcome of the game as Georgia ended up winning 30-15.

But that didn't stop Georgia head coach Kirby Smart from telling ESPN after the game that the officials tried to "rob" the Bulldogs.

Regardless of whether the officials ultimately made the right call on the pass interference, the decision to overturn the call after fans pelted the field with trash set a dangerous precedent in the sport moving forward.
