Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs could be on the verge of swiping a four-star commit from a rival SEC program.

2026 four-star defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy Jr has been committed to the Missouri Tigers since December, but he's set to take several official visits this spring/summer before making his final decision.

One of those visits is to Georgia on May 16 (he also plans to take official visits to LSU, Missouri, Purdue, and Arkansas).

"Coach (Tray) Scott came to my school. He talked to me. He's trying to flip me," said Kennedy to 247Sports this week. "I'm going there for a visit to see what it's like."

Kennedy, 6-foot-4/290 lbs from Little Rock, AR, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 35 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Arkansas.

It's certainly possible that Kennedy could stick with his commitment to Missouri, but if Georgia pushes hard for the Arkansas native, it'll be awfully tough for the Tigers to win this recruiting battle. There aren't many defensive linemen who are turning Georgia down these days.

Kennedy plans to make a final decision by the end of the summer.

The Bulldogs currently have five players committed to their 2026 recruiting class. Only one of those commits is a defensive lineman — three-star DL Seven Cloud.
