The Georgia Bulldogs were able to land another talented and highly sought-after recruit to make up for missing out on four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace earlier this week.
On Sunday, 2025 four-star cornerback Shamari Earls announced that he flipped his decision from South Carolina to Georgia.
"I would like to thank Coach Gray, Coach Beamer and the entire South Carolina staff and fan base for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of their family, but at this time I need to make the best decision for me," Earls wrote on X/Twitter. "With that being said I'd like to announce that I'll be de-committing from South Carolina and committing to the (University of Georgia!!) I'm a #Dawg."
The 6-foot-2, 206-pound cornerback is the nation’s No. 12 cornerback and the No. 105 overall prospect for 2025, according to On3.
Earls is currently a two-way player at Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia. He enters his senior season after logging 25 total tackles, three interceptions, and four pass breakups on defense while hauling in 29 receptions for 715 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on offense in 2023. Earls is also a track star and an indoor state champion in the long jump, hitting an impressive 23'10.75" mark.
With the addition of Earls, the Bulldogs have 18 commits from the class of 2025 and rank No. 3 nationally.
