Rivals.com national recruiting analysts Adam Gorney and Spiegelman made a big prediction for the Georgia Bulldogs this week.

Gorney and Spiegelman predicted on Thursday that Georgia will be the program that wins the recruiting battle for 2026 four-star linebacker Kenneth Goodwin.

Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, and SMU are also in the mix for Goodwin.

From Rivals.com: Georgia, Oregon, SMU, Notre Dame and Michigan are the five front-runners for the four-star linebacker from Torrance (Calif.) Bishop Montgomery but this very much feels like a two-team race between Georgia and Oregon. While the Ducks have a real shot with everybody especially from the West, Goodwin loves Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann and how the Bulldogs don’t take many players at his position out of the portal. Plus, staffer David Hill is close with Goodwin, who’s originally from Las Vegas.

Goodwin, 6-foot-1/205 lbs from Harbor City, CA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 18 linebacker in the nation and the No. 24 player in the state of California.

Scouting report via 247Sports: First saw at the National Preps Camp last year (2/4/23) where he earned LB MVP honors. Measured in at 6-1, 205 pounds with a 75” wing span and his , 4.68-40 was among the best of all the linebackers. Size wise, he’s sort of a hybrid safety/linebacker but has a ton of positional versatility and makes plays all over the field. He’s an inside/outside guy, physical in run support, can deliver a blow and is quick around the edge as a pass rusher. He’s comfortable in space, natural cover guy and can run down plays from behind. Smart player as well, understands the game, reads and reacts quickly and is always around the football. Easy national recruit with the talent to play at the high Power 4 level.

"It's that you've got to have a different mindset to go up there, most definitely," said Goodwin to 247Sports recently of his interest in Georgia. "You've gotta come to work. You've gotta have a next-play mentality. You can't hang your head up there. You've gotta be a great football player to go up there."

Goodwin has an official visit to Georgia scheduled for early June. The four-star linebacker plans to announce his commitment on July 1.
