The impressive 2025 recruiting class for the Auburn Tigers is about to become even more remarkable. Currently ranked within the top five nationally, the Tigers' list of commitments has just been bolstered. Former 4-star QB prospect Deuce Knight, initially committed to Notre Dame, made the switch to Auburn amidst rumors he might choose Ole Miss instead.

Hugh Freeze and his coaching team are swiftly securing elite talent, which is crucial in the fast-paced world of college football recruiting.

Falling behind in recruiting efforts can drastically affect an SEC team's standings, relegating them to the lower tiers each autumn. With the current roster of commitments for 2025 and anticipation of more to join, there's a lot for Auburn fans to be excited about.

The lefty is ranked as a top-six quarterback in the class across the industry and as high as 32nd overall. He earned a projection to flip to Auburn in August, and Knight confirmed the move on Wednesday.

The "Big Cat Weekend" held by the Tigers over summer was a significant event for their recruiting efforts, making a substantial impact on their program.

Under the leadership of head coach Hugh Freeze, the team secured five new commitments for their 2025 recruiting class, which is now ranked fifth nationally by 247Sports.

Auburn’s recruitment class was notably enhanced with the addition of 4-star wide receiver Derrick Smith, 4-star safety Anquon Fegans, 4-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman, 4-star cornerback Blake Woodby, and John Alan McGuire, who is the second-ranked punter in the class.

With these new additions, Auburn’s 2025 class now comprises 22 players: two 5-star recruits, 11 4-star recruits, and eight 3-star recruits.

Knight is the cherry on top for a program that needs a future star quarterback to complement its wealth of recent commitments.
