After that tough loss on Saturday night in Death Valley, the LSU Tigers are looking to bounce back against the Florida Gators this weekend.

Even though the Gators are the favorites going into this matchup, former Alabama quarterback and now college football analyst Greg McElroy thinks the Bayou Bengals might be facing some challenges when they hit the Swamp.

“I’m taking Florida in the game,” Greg McElroy stated. “I don’t think LSU has solved their problems with quarterback run. I think [DJ] Lagway will hit a few runs, I think he’ll throw a few deep balls, and I think LSU is just a little bit too one-dimensional.”

That’s quite a bold take from McElroy, especially since quarterback Lagway isn’t fully cleared to play yet. He really wanted to jump back in last week against the Texas Longhorns but ended up leaving the game against the Georgia Bulldogs with a hamstring issue that turned out to be less serious than it seemed.

Still, his status for Saturday is up in the air, and it’ll probably come down to a game-time decision.

If McElroy's predictions hold true, things could get a little tense back home in Death Valley, especially after the governor called out LSU for their lackluster performance against Alabama the week before.
