Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers could be on the verge of earning a big offseason win over Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

According to On3’s Sam Spiegelman, LSU is set to host 2027 three-star wide receiver Aden Starling, a Georgia commit, on a visit this spring.

Starling, 6-foot/175 pounds from Pearland, TX, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 84 wide receiver in the nation and No. 83 player in the state of Texas. He’s been committed to the Bulldogs since December.

“The prestige of wide receivers who have come through that school, just having the opportunity to play there, is a blessing,” said Starling to On3 of his interest in LSU. “Coach (George) McDonald has been telling me he wants me there and we have probably been talking about twice a week. I’ve had a good relationship with LSU since Coach (Cortez) Hankton was there, so it feels really good to have the offer now.”

It’s never easy to flip a player from Georgia, but Kiffin is among the best recruiters in the sport. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if Starling ends up in LSU’s 2027 recruiting class instead of Georgia’s.

We’ll see where Starling’s recruitment stands following his visits this spring.
