Lane Kiffin’s first commit with the LSU Tigers has come down the pipeline rather quickly, and it’s one that the fan base can truly get excited about on offense.

Four-star tight end flips from Ole Miss to LSU to follow Lane Kiffin

According to reports, JC Anderson has flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to LSU, following the news of Kiffin heading to Baton Rouge. Anderson is a massive target in the passing game at 6’7 and uses that size to his advantage regularly.

Check out part of Anderson’s scouting report from 247Sports below. There is no doubt that his upside is incredibly intriguing and a massive reason that Kiffin valued him for the 2026 class.

“In-line Y tight end with hulking measurables hovering around 6-foot-6, 240 pounds and extremely productive two-way snaps at the IHSA 4A level. Clear mismatch in the redzone with his ability to play through contact and haul in difficult grabs at the catch point. Safety blanket for quarterbacks at the first two levels as he will make high degree of difficulty plays at the edges of the catch radius. Displays plenty of encouraging moments as a move blocker, but must continue to add functional upper- and lower-body strength to sustain blocks as an attached run blocker.” — 247Sports

It is worth noting that the Tigers already have TE Trey’Dez Green on the roster, who looms at 6’7 and 240 pounds. This duo of Green and Anderson could create an unstoppable red zone presence for Kiffin’s offense that loves to deceive defenses around that part of the football field.

Not to mention, Kiffin has never been afraid to put freshmen on the field. If Anderson gives his unit the best chance to succeed next season in some situations, then he will be out there. Plus, if Green does declare for the NFL Draft after next season then they have a replacement plan in place due to Anderson’s stature and traits.

Offensive line flip becomes next to join LSU from Ole Miss’ potential class

Via Hayes Fawcett, interior offensive lineman Ryan Miret is also flipping from Ole miss to LSU to join Kiffin’s Tigers. It’s clear that some recruits feel that their connection to the head coach is stronger than ties to the Rebels program.

These are two of probably more to come for both the 2026 and 2027 recruiting class for Kiffin. Expect more flips around CFB during the early signing period this week from Dec. 3 through Dec. 5.
