The LSU Tigers and Brian Kelly continue to dominate on the recruiting trail and they may be in for some even more exciting news here soon. The Tigers are still fresh off of locking in the number one overall Transfer Portal class for 2025 and they're already on pace for a Top 10 recruiting class yet again in 2026. And now, a recently reclassified five star talent looks like he may be available much earlier than expected.

Ethan Feaster, an elite five star wide receiver from DeSoto, Texas just announced late last week that he would be reclassifying from the 2027 recruiting class to 2026. And while that alone isn't very exciting, the news of his official visits certainly is for Brian Kelly and his staff. According to On3 Sports and a handful of other sources Ethan Feaster has reportedly locked in two official visits with two more set to be schedule and LSU is on the final list.

Ethan Feaster has around 50 scholarship offers already through his sophomore year, yet he's decided that he's going to graduate early and will be visiting LSU on June 20th this summer. He's also going to be paying an official visit to USC, Texas, and Texas A&M at some point this summer (likely June) as well.

Many believe that Feaster will eventually lean towards joining one of the Texas schools, but he's been quoted as saying that he considers LSU as one of the main candidates for "WR U" status and he loves the long track record of success at the position. He's not wrong either. Since 2020 LSU has sent seven wide receivers to the NFL, four of which were drafted inside the first round. LSU certainly has the edge with proven pedigree and success under the current coaching staff.

Feaster has mentioned a few other schools beyond the four official visits who are still technically in the mix like Oregon and Tennessee, but he's logged almost no physical contacts with those two programs by comparison to any of his other top options.

One thing all of Feaster's major four potential schools he's considering have in common is that they offered him extremely early. All four had extended scholarship offers to him before he was even halfway through his freshman year in high school. Texas A&M offered him the earliest as Feaster participated in some of their camps when he was still in middle school, but as soon as he visited LSU the summer before his freshman year he locked in an offer from them too.

LSU still likely has a long way to go in closing the deal with Feaster, but the fact that they're obviously in his top four schools and he could arrive a year earlier than expected could be huge for the Tigers. Brian Kelly could easily sell him on immediate playing time and opportunity considering that wide receivers Aaron Anderson, Barion Brown, and Nic Anderson will all likely be departing after this season. However, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier will also be gone.

Hopefully some combination of early playing time, significant resources committed to him from a very young age, and proven track record of positional development can close the deal for Brian Kelly and his staff.
