The LSU Tigers currently hold the top transfer portal class in 2025, according to 247Sports. Brian Kelly and his staff have added legitimate game changers on both sides of the football.

They've grabbed another former SEC foe on the offensive side of the gridiron, too.

LSU lands Texas A&M tight end

Texas A&M transfer TE Donovan Green has Committed to LSU, according to Hayes Fawcett. He has two years of eligibility left.

Green becomes the eighth four-star transfer to join the transfer group for the Bayou Bengals. LSU has fifteen total transfer commits in the 2025 class as of now.

Injuries have been an issue for Green so far in his collegiate career. His physical prowess and upside are impressive, but he has not stayed healthy, including missing the entire 2023 season for the Aggies.

Coming out of high school, Green was a highly-touted four-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 153 overall player in his cycle, as well as the No. 6 overall tight end. — On3Sports

Mason Taylor, a key component for the Tigers offense in recent seasons declared for thew 2025 NFL Draft. Adding talent to the TE position became a must after his decision.

Trey'Dez Green figures to be the top option at the position for the Tigers next season. He's massive at 6'7 and has exciting receiving upside. Green had an impressive bowl game against Baylor and projects to be important for Garrett Nussmeier and the offense next season.

Now, the Tigers have depth at the tight end position with the addition of Green from A&M. LSU also landed Oklahoma transfer TE Bauer Sharp earlier in the portal process.
