Two LSU Tigers offensive stars blew away the NFL scouts at their Pro Day, pumping up their 2025 NFL Draft stock

The LSU Tigers Pro Day never disappoints. There are always top tier athletes at most every single position. However, this year it was two offensive playmakers that seems to stand out more than most. There were plenty of talented trench players on both sides of the ball too, but tight end Mason Taylor and running back Josh Williams below scouts away with their testing on Wednesday.
Mason Taylor & Josh Williams dominated LSU Pro Day
It shouldn't surprise LSU fans, but Mason Taylor (son of Hall of Fame defensive end Jason Taylor) posted incredible numbers across the board with his speed, strength, and agility.
Taylor's 4.65 forty-yard dash is above the 80th percentile for all tight end prospects in the last 20 years and would have been second best at the NFL Combine this spring. His 28 bench press reps at 225 pounds were good for 96th percentile among tight ends, showing off his unbelievable strength that helps him both as a blocker and winning at the line of scrimmage against press. Taylor's three-cone time of 7.06 seconds was above the 70th percentile too.
Mason Taylor became a do-it-all weapon throughout his time with the LSU Tigers and his athletic testing on Wednesday certainly helped show why that was possible.
Following an impressive session of interviews at the NFL Combine Mason Taylor had already been rising up NFL mock draft boards in recent weeks. It's quite likely he's solidified his stock even more now, likely rising into round two discussions for many teams. But he wasn't the only one who stood out at the LSU Tigers Pro Day.
Josh Williams, who did not receive an invitation to the NFL Combine this year put together an unbelievable performance.
His vertical (42 inches) and broad jumps (10'2") gave him a burst score above the 90th percentile among all running backs in the last twenty years. His vertical would have been second best at this year's NFL Combine among all positions, not just running backs. And then he topped it all off with a 4.45-second forty-yard dash, good for 83rd percentile for running back prospects. Impressive showing all around.
Josh Williams has been underrated, doubted, and overlooked for much of his high school and college football career so far, but he shouldn't be any longer. After five years staying dedicated to the LSU Tigers, leading the team as best he could in his final few seasons, Williams should be a favorite for many NFL teams.
It's still unlikely Williams is drafted very early. In fact, he still may end up an undrafted free agent signing, but this athletic showing definitely boosts his 2025 NFL Draft stock in a huge way.
Hopefully both Mason Taylor and Josh Williams land in perfect spots where they can showcase their talents and represent the LSU Tigers well.
Will Campbell completely roasts media at LSU Tigers Pro Day for wild overreactions to his arm length disparity from NFL Combine
Will Campbell has obviously completely had it with all the talk concerning his arm length. And it makes sense. The chatter surrounding Will Campbell's "short" arms for an offensive tackle coming out of LSU this spring has been never ending. Yes, it is slightly justified to discuss arm lengths for offensive tackles considering it's quite […]
