Will Campbell’s career at LSU was a story for the ages. Growing up in Monroe, Louisiana, LSU football was something very close to the heart of the talented offensive lineman. Going from a dreamer to an All-American for the Tigers multiple times is something to be proud of.

Campbell now is set for his newest transition, finding his new NFL home. At last week’s 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, Campbell faced the media to discuss his college career, his path to the NFL level, and teams that are showing the 6-6, 319-pounder the most interest so far.

One team that was asked about was the New Orleans Saints, who of course, Campbell knows very well with his Louisiana roots. Campbell didn’t shy away from the Saints, and how much playing for his home state squad.

“I got an opportunity to speak with the Saints,” Campbell told the media. “Being from Louisiana, people only from Louisiana understand what football means in that state. Being able to not only represent myself, my family, that organization, and being able to represent the state of Louisiana would mean everything to me.”

Campbell is widely considered a player who will be off the board somewhere in the top 15 selections. The Saints currently sit with the No. 9 selection, and have a massive need at right tackle. It makes sense why Campbell is being valued by New Orleans for that fact alone.

The opinions on Campbell around the league vary a bit. It has nothing to do with his overall skill set as a football player. Most agree that Campbell is a very good player. The split centers around whether he is better as an offensive tackle, or inside at guard long term. That will determine how high Campbell ends up going in the end.
