As Oregon prepares to face Oklahoma State for its second game of the 2025 season, fans may be surprised that this is the only time these two programs have faced off. Despite decades of success for both programs, the Ducks and Cowboys have only shared the field once.
- Single Meeting, in ’08 – The lone clash came in the 2008 Holiday Bowl, where No. 15 Oregon rallied for a 42–31 win over No. 13 Oklahoma State. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli led the Ducks with three rushing touchdowns and 258 passing yards, while wideout Dez Bryant starred for the Cowboys with 167 receiving yards and a score.
- Perfect Record -With that victory, Oregon holds a flawless 1–0 record against Oklahoma State. The game remains the only contest between the schools, played on a neutral field in San Diego.
