The Miami Hurricanes have had a solid year so far on the recruiting trail, and the crown jewel of Mario Cristobal's 2026 class is five-star OT Jackson Cantwell from Nixa, MO.

Cristobal and his staff are looking to land another highly sought 2026 prospect to continue his recent trend of trotting out top-notch offensive lines. In this case, it's four-star IOL Breck Kolojay from IMG Academy. Kolojay is going to make his announcement on August 1, and the list of finalists is impressive: Miami, Oklahoma, Georgia, USC, and Colorado.

According to Rivals, USC is the leader for his services.

Kolojay is listed as the #332 overall player, #30 IOL, and the #48 player in the state of Florida for 2026. However, the offers and recruitment by marquee teams for the services of the 6'5", 320-pound lineman speak to what programs think of his abilities.

The good news for the Hurricanes is that, if Rivals/On3 is to be believed, they're in position to have a puncher's chance at making a late steal. Of all the teams listed, Miami is currently second as far as percent chances with 20.2%. USC leads the way with 71.6%

Alex Mirabal is the lead recruiter, and he's done a fine job at being able to work with and develop offensive linemen at both Oregon and now at Miami. Accordingly, as Cantwell noted as a selling point for his decision, there is a good argument there that the Canes' staff can lean on to try and persuade Kolojay to make a last minute change of mind and come to Coral Gables. And of course, Miami hasn't been shy about compensating its players well through NIL deals.

We'll find out soon enough if they can, as his decision day is scheduled for Friday.
