New Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood is already affecting college football well beyond what most true freshman can accomplish. He's set to be on the cover of College Football 26, and programs around the country are adjusting their NIL approach after he flipped from LSU.
This newfound fame has given the 5-star talent the ability to be on media shows and be in attendance for high-profile events. While Underwood will be battling to be the team's starter, he's confident he'll continue the Wolverines' four-game win streak against Ohio State.
Underwood went on the Rich Eisen Show, which is hosted by Michigan alum Rich Eisen, and bragged about telling Ohio State fan LeBron James that, "It's over for Ohio State."
Underwood was at a Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers game when he met James. Underwood told James he chose Michigan, and then delivered the punch line. Eisen asked what James said to that, and Underwood said he kind of laughed it off, and that was it.
Michigan, of course, gave Ohio State one of two losses last year. While the Buckeyes were able to win the National Championship, being served a devastating home loss and suffering the fourth-consecutive defeat in The Game has been a big talking point across college football.
The Wolverines used that moment to turn its own season around before beating Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl game.
