The Michigan Wolverines stunned the Ohio State Buckeyes in The Game by a score of 13-10. It's now the fourth-consecutive win for the Wolverines in the rivalry and questions are beginning to mount whether or not Ryan Day will keep his job.
The finish to the game was explosive, as the Wolverines kicked the game-winning field goal with less than a minute remaining and forced a four and out immediately. It was once the game ended that the real fireworks began.
The game ended and Michigan players decided to take their flag and plant it inside the O at midfield. It's something that has been done after winning inside the Horseshoe with the most famous being Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield in 2017.
As you can imagine, that wasn't received well by Buckeyes players and a fight broke out quickly. The fight was bad enough, including alleged use of pepper spray, but it was the call of Fox Sports' Gus Johnson that raised eyebrows.
He not only showed bias, but it was egregious against the Wolverines, calling the planting of the flag embarrassing while also saying they didn't cheat "this time."
That's not exactly a great way to present the game. Why not mention the lack of fight from the Buckeyes until the final whistle blew? A frustrating way for one of the best in the game to finish the regular season.
