Despite a season to forget so far for the Michigan Wolverines, they are still pulling in one of the best recruiting classes in the country so far in terms of talent.

The Wolverines are sitting at 4-3 and are currently fighting for a bowl game bid with a tough Big Ten slate remaining. Even with a completely new coaching staff and one of the worst offenses in the country, their recruiting is still going strong.

In fact, they have one of the most important stats one could have to determine the quality of your recruiting class: the blue-chip ratio.

The Wolverines sit fifth in blue-chip ratio nationwide, just behind the Alabama Crimson Tide.

This is an impressive showing for the Wolverines. I've pointed to the coaching staff being a major issue for their on-field product, but they have done a good job bringing in talent and keeping their recruits from the Harbaugh-led Wolverines.

Still, they have to find a way to change their on-field product before things get out of hand if they want to retain their talent.

The Wolverines do get to enjoy blue-blood status, so they will always be able to bring in talented players regardless. Just this week they secured the commitment of five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola, their highest-ranked offensive line recruit ever.

Given Michigan's ability to consistently develop talent and turn raw recruits into NFL-caliber prospects, the Wolverines assembling elite talents in their first cycle under this new coaching staff should be an exciting showing for Michigan fans.

Here are all of their committed five and four stars for their 2025 recruiting class:

  • Five-star OT Andrew Babalola
  • Four-star S Ivan Taylor
  • Four-star TE Andrew Olesh
  • Four-star WR Andrew Marsh
  • Four-star S Kainoa Winston
  • Four-star CB Jayden Sanders
  • Four-star QB Carter Smith
  • Four-star DL Jaylen Williams
  • Four-star IOL Avery Gach
  • Four-star WR Jacob Washington
  • Four-star EDGE Julius Holly
  • Four-star RB Jasper Parker
  • Four-star RB Donovan Johnson
