The Michigan Wolverines and head coach Sherrone Moore are positioning themselves well this spring to have a strong summer on the recruiting trail. Moore and his staff continue to find themselves making it into the Top 4, 5, or 6 options for elite recruits all over the nation and now they're hosting perhaps their most important recruiting weekend of the cycle.

Can they land any (or every) one of the top talents on campus this weekend? Let's dive in.

Top Recruits on Michigan Spring visit weekend

Michigan staffers have known for several weeks that the March 28-30 weekend was going to be a big one, and with eight Top 100 overall recruits on site at once the Wolverines have a massive opportunity on their hands.

Five star quarterback Elijah Haven (2027) headlines the group. He's yet another five quarterback that Michigan is looking to steal from the LSU Tigers. His home state is Louisiana, and the Tigers seem to be leading on him (for now), but this will be Haven's second visit with Michigan in four months. Many experts consider the Wolverines to be second in the running right now.

It's a bit strange, but Haven isn't the only high pedigree quarterback on campus this weekend either. Fringe five star Malachi Zeigler (also 2027) is on campus too. Just like Haven, Zeigler looks like he's leaning towards another program at the moment (Ole Miss), but Michigan is firmly among his final few.

John Turntine is a five star interior offensive lineman from Texas in the 2026 recruiting class who many believe is a near lock to go to the Longhorns. However, Michigan is the first out-of-state visit he's taken in months. If the Wolverines can impress him the tide might start to turn.

Jaxx DeJean is the younger brother of Super Bowl Champion and Philadelphia Eagles star Cooper DeJean. Just like his brother DeJean plays some defensive back, but he's most dangerous as a receiving threat at 6'6", 200+ pounds already. Iowa likely leads for him at the moment given his brother's ties there, but Michigan could certainly take that lead spot after this weekend considering how early they were in on DeJean too.

DeJean isn't the only potential offensive playmaker Michigan is hosting this weekend. Fringe five star tight end Brock Harris who has the Wolverines on his top schools list is making his final unofficial visit to Ann Arbor prior to his official in June. This looks like it's down to Michigan, Oregon, and Georgia. Then running back Javian Osborne is also in town. He's been surging towards Michigan after some staffing changes were made for the Texas Longhorns this spring.

Landing defensive lineman Deuce Geralds is going to be a tough battle to win, and Ohio State is the team to beat there. He has well over 50 scholarship offers and has been on unofficial visits nonstop to some of the best programs in the country more so than perhaps any other recruit in the nation. Michigan has their work cut out for them with his talent, but he's worth it as an absolute game wrecker up front.

There are few more high pedigree talents in town too, like four star athlete Jackson Ford (four star edge defender), and Michigan seems to be truly "in it" to potentially land all of them except for Deuce Geralds. Hopefully Sherrone Moore and company can start closing some of these prospects so their 2026 and 2027 classes begin to take shape.
