Expectations are already sky high for five star freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood as he kicks off his career with the Michigan Wolverines. He impressed in spring ball. He's acted the part on and off the field. Fans are starved for competent offense. And Sherrone Moore isn't doing anything to silence the hype now as he shared some confident words on his young freshman phenom at Big Ten Media Days.

One of the first things Sherrone Moore was asked about–to the surprise of absolutely no one–was his five star quarterback Bryce Underwood on Thursday in Las Vegas. Rather than dive too much into the on-the-field details of what makes Bryce Underwood great, coach Moore shared how and why he's special off the field for a team that needs him to be:
“Yeah I think [Bryce Underwood]’s grown every day since he’s been on campus. He’s been with us since December. He continues to do everything he can to be, one, the best teammate he can be. Two, to be the best student he can be. Then three, to be the best football player and quarterback that he can be for our football team.”

Bryce Underwood has consistently set the tone this offseason, assuming the status of leader on a team that desperately needs to see that from their quarterback position following a season where they had perhaps their worst offense of the century.
Coach Moore continue on the little things that prove Bryce Underwood is already mature, ready to be who Sherrone Moore will lean on him to be:
“He does everything the right way. He makes sure that he attacks everything the best way. I literally just got off the phone with him. He was calling me asking me, what time he’s got to be at the team meeting on Tuesday. So, he wants to make sure he’s on time, to do everything right. He’s a great teammate. Great kid. Great young man.”

There is still some question (technically) about who will be starting at quarterback for Michigan to start the season, and Sherrone Moore will save that decision until the last second because that's his style, but it sounds like Bryce Underwood will be ready to impress the moment he steps onto the field.
