Michigan has won The Game for the fourth time in a row and Sherrone Moore has now firmly solidified himself as the perfect architect of the Michigan Wolverines future.
Early on in the season as the team's quarterback situation was the laughing stock of FBS football there were some haters who had their doubts with Moore, but not likely anymore. Sherrone Moore has since locked in his five star quarterback recruit of the future in Bryce Underwood and won the one game that you must absolutely win as the head coach of Michigan. And he did it in style on Saturday, showcasing his hilarious personality as Michigan locked in the W.
First off, when the game was still going–but after Ohio State was going to turn the ball over for the final time–Sherrone Moore decided wave goodbye to Ohio State fans and it was as glorious as you might have pictured it:
It was reported by multiple people near head coach Moore that he shouted "We Own You" at the Ohio State fans as he waved disrespectfully "goodbye" to the heartbroken Buckeyes. But Moore wasn't done there.
Rather than hogging the spotlight after the game in the on-field interviews Coach Moore searched around for Mason Graham, hype him and his other star players up, and put all of the focus on them saying:
"Guys like Mason Graham. Guys like Kenneth Grant, Josaiah Stewart, Derrick Moore. The offensive line. I mean, you talk about a gritty performance by a bunch of guys. I love these dudes. These guys are the heart of the program. This is why you come to Michigan! Right here, guys like this! Win this game!"
Of course, a fight broke out following the game on the field with Ohio State players apparently being "sore losers" and "classless" according to running back Kalel Mullings (among others). When asked about the concept of "losing gracefully" after the game, Coach Moore stayed in his hilarious mode, saying, "We didn't lose, we won, so I don't know."
Sherrone Moore was just in a special kind of mood after taking down Ohio State yet again. Moore elaborated further on the importance of this game, how much it has defined his entire time with the program and how it will remain "the foundation" of the program moving forward:
"It started really in 2021 with Coach [Jim] Harbaugh, putting it all over the building, constant thought process. How we practice, what we do, when we practice, thinking about this game, how we build our team, what we do. It will continue to be that way. We're going to continue to build this team, the foundation of who we are, this culture, around winning this game, and that's what it's got to be about."
Sherrone Moore knows what it means to a Michigan Man, and he knows what it takes to be the perfect Michigan head coach. Even when things aren't going how fans wanted to open the season Moore delivered one of the biggest victories in all of college football, and asserted his dominance over the lowly future ex-Ohio State head coach Ryan Day once again.
It's time to confidently hand Sherrone Moore the keys as he leads Michigan into their next era of football greatness.
