Notre Dame is predicted to land a new passing game weapon for quarterback CJ Carr, closing on former 5-star wide receiver
Notre Dame might be adding Quincy Porter from the Ohio State Buckeyes.
While things are in a great spot with former Ohio State wide receiver Mylan Graham, many Notre Dame fans have been wondering what the program’s transfer portal chances are with his former teammate, and fellow former five-star pass catcher Quincy Porter. With the New Jersey native entering the portal with a no-contact tag that prohibits programs from reaching out to him, it was a guessing game as to where he was leaning.
It appears that Porter could be leaning toward head coach Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish right now as well. Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos from Rivals like where Notre Dame stands. Both of them logged an expert prediction for Porter to land with Notre Dame. It would be a monumental victory for an Irish offense that needs to get more dynamic at the boundary wide receiver position.
Wilfong wrote in his update that several schools were early teams of interest for the talented pass catcher. Outside of Notre Dame, Washington, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee, South Carolina, UCLA, and Auburn were some others to know. With an NFL frame and unreal athletic gifts, Porter’s future is very, very bright. It is fun to think of all that Porter could accomplish in the blue and gold if Freeman and Co. close the deal.
You can bet that quarterback CJ Carr will be happy if so.
