The Ohio State Buckeyes simply cannot be stopped at the moment. After a massive win on the field on Wednesday evening, the Buckeyes got a recruiting trail victory on Thursday.

Ohio State lands big-time athlete

Four-Star athlete Jakob Weatherspoon (2026) has Committed to Ohio State, according to Hayes Fawcett and On3Sports.

Weatherspoon chose the Buckeyes over Penn State, Oregon, and Notre Dame. He is the country's No. 164 overall 2026 prospect, the No. 9 athlete, and the No. 7 prospect in Ohio, according to 247Sports.

Ohio State sees Weatherspoon as a cornerback for them in the future.

Weatherspoon is a fast and physical cornerback with very good coverage skills and the ability to jam wide receivers at the line of scrimmage as well as run with them in coverage. He could play inside or outside corner in college. Weatherspoon has played safety and cornerback for Avon as well as on offense but has been recruited as a cornerback by the Buckeyes.
