The Ohio State Buckeyes will hold their annual spring game on Saturday and it marks the first time that fans get to see the team in action since the National Championship win.

Recruiting has heated up for Ohio State and the Buckeyes are going to have a key group of visitors in Columbus on Saturday.

Five-star targets Ryder Lyons, Tyler Atkinson, and Felix Ojo headline the visitors at Ohio State

Ohio State doesn’t yet have a quarterback committed in the class of 2026 and many of the big names are off the board or soon will be. 2026 five-star Folsom (CA) QB Ryder Lyons will be a key visitor in Columbus on Saturday. Lyons is ranked as the No. 4 QB in the country, per 247 Sports Composite and USC is seen as the favorite. This is the first visit for Lyons since the Buckeyes offered him back on Jan. 31. Ohio State has thrown their hat into the race late, but we’ll see if Ryan Day and his staff can make up ground.

2026 five-star Grayson (GA) LB Tyler Atkinson will be taking a visit to Ohio State this weekend and it certainly isn’t the first time. The Buckeyes have been recruiting the No. 1 linebacker since he was in middle school and though he is a Georgia lean, Ohio State is going to keep swinging. James Laurinatis will have a heavy focus on Atkinson this weekend.

Ohio State is among the schools in the mix for 2026 five-star Lake Ridge OT Felix Ojo, who is the No. 4 offensive tackle in the class. Ojo has already arrived on campus and continues to be a big-time target for the Buckeyes.

Carlos Locklyn has offered multiple running backs in the class of 2026 and four-star Chaminade-Madonna (FL) RB Derrek Cooper will be in Columbus again for the spring game. Ohio State wants to bring in a couple of highly-touted running backs this class and Cooper could be one. The former high school teammate of WR Jeremiah Smith.
