The Ohio State Buckeyes have three offensive linemen committed so far in their No. 2 ranked class. March and April have been good to the Buckeyes with multiple commitments landing.
Ohio State has landed Maxwell Riley and Sam Greer as in-state offensive linemen, which they made a priority. Additionally, interior OL Tucker Smith chose the Buckeyes out of Arizona.
The Buckeyes still have their top offensive line target out there on the board and they’re in the mix. However, Colorado and Deion Sanders are in the mix as well.
Five-star OT Felix Ojo is the No. 3 recruit in the country at offensive tackle and the No. 7 overall player in the country. Ojo is the No. 1 player in Texas and the Buckeyes are battling the Longhorns for his commitment.
Now, it appears that Ojo will be taking an official visit to Colorado. The talented offensive tackle has his official visit to Columbus scheduled for May 30. In the following weekends, he will take officials to Michigan, Texas, and Oklahoma.
“Ohio State is still very high on my list,” Ojo said after his latest unofficial visit, via On3. “This visit did indeed help them and I would say my list is not as far apart as people think it is.”
The Buckeyes and Longhorns are seen as the top teams in the race to land the 6-foot-6, 275-pound tackle. Getting Ojo back on campus to continue building his relationship with new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen was key and the Buckeyes did that.
Back in the class of 2024, Ohio State was firmly in the mix for five-star OT Jordan Seaton. Seaton ended up singing with Colorado and that goes to show that Sanders can be a problem on the trail.
Ojo’s official visits will be key and the Buckeyes will get their chance to impress him at the end of May.
