Fox analyst Emmanuel Acho takes a shot at Ohio State’s Will Howard ahead of game against Texas

To win in the postseason you need good quarterback play no matter what level you are at. So far for the Ohio State Buckeyes, they have received just that from quarterback Will Howard in the College Football Playoff.
In the impressive win over Oregon, Howard completed 17-of-26 passes for 317 yards and three scores. The prior week it was another 300-yard showing for Howard with two more touchdown passes against Tennessee.
Still, one analyst believes that Howard is the worst quarterback remaining in the College Football Playoff.
“Ohio State has the worst quarterback remaining. Period. They have the worst quarterback remaining in Will Howard, I can confidently say that,” said Fox analyst and former Longhorn Emmanuel Acho.
Howard has thrown for 3,490 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while completing 73 percent of his passes. The Ohio State starter has added seven rushing touchdowns this season.
Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Penn State’s Drew Allar, and Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard are the other quarterbacks remaining in the CFP. Statistics don’t show it all, but Howard is the top quarterback still alive in the CFP when looking at stats.
Ewers has the highest draft stock out of the remaining quarterbacks and that isn’t arguable. I would say that Ewers, Leonard, and Howard are all going to be drafted near the middle to late part of the draft.
Acho is entitled to his opinion, though it may be a biased one since he went to Texas, who Ohio State plays Friday in the College Football Playoff. However, it is not arguable that any quarterback is playing better than Howard is right now. Sure, there may not be a better-supporting cast than the one that Howard has, but he still has to get the job done.
Not that you need any extra motivation at this point, Acho just gave Howard a little more of it to go out there and perform in the last game, maybe two.
