Week 7 brings perhaps the biggest clash of the college football season yet when No. 2 Ohio State travels to Eugene to take on No. 3 Oregon in Big Ten play.

Neither team has played a high quality opponent to date, so things are about to turn up a ton for all involved. With both teams at 5-0, it is no surprise that the Buckeyes are just a -3 favorite.

Prior to the game tomorrow, multiple members of A to Z Sports have put their predictions together for the huge battle.

Oregon 30, Ohio State 27

“I think this is the first of at least two and possibly three matchups these teams have this season. The Buckeyes traveling to a hostile environment this early in conference play, I am going to give the edge to the Ducks. I have Ohio State failing to score in the final minutes and the Ducks hold on in a close one.” – Brandon Little

Ohio State 34, Oregon 24

“I worry about Oregon’s offense being able to stay in phase against a defense as fast and sound as Ohio State but expect their talent to get points on the board. More concerning for the Ducks is the ground game of Ohio State. Run defense has been a struggle against good competition like Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty putting three touchdowns on them in Week 2. If Oregon’s defense overcommits to stopping the run, then Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith will eat behind them. In the end, I simply believe Ohio State has too many ways to beat you, and a late touchdown on the ground will see them pull away for good.” – Jon Helmkamp

Ohio State 27, Oregon 23

“In the biggest game of the 2024 season so far, the Oregon Ducks have intentions of showing that they not only belong in the Big Ten, but they are the best team in the conference. On the Buckeyes side, they have loaded up with the transfer portal and retained talent to go on a run. While a competitive game, Ohio State has fewer questions compared to Oregon. Their rushing game will be the difference with both defenses having solid showings.” – Ryan Roberts

Ohio State 30, Oregon 24

“I expect a low-scoring first half as both teams feel each other out as nerves show. Each team can attack each others' weaknesses effectively enough to keep it close, but Ohio State's playmaking is more potent than Oregon's. An early two-score lead either direction would really throw a wrench in how this plays out, but Ohio State's advantage in the run game will eventually wear Oregon out and limit their possessions.” – Ian Valentino

Ohio State 31, Oregon 21

“Ohio State's talent gap–with nearly 20 NFL Draft prospects seeing significant snaps–proves too much fairly early in this budding Big Ten rivalry. Dan Lanning forces a few too many 4th down attempts hoping to keep it close, but ultimately that just seals a multiple-possession deficit. Ohio State's defense looks human against Oregon for a few explosive plays, but the future national champions win the day.” – Travis May
