This Saturday in Columbus a top-five battle will happen between Ohio State and Indiana. Yes, you read that right, Indiana is in the top five in the year 2024.
The No. 5 Hoosiers will bring a 10-0 perfect record into Columbus, where they will be trying to pull off one of the biggest wins the Indiana program has ever seen.
For Ohio State, it will be their third top-5 matchup of the season after traveling to Penn State when they were No. 3 earlier in the season. Before that, the Buckeyes played at Oregon. When it comes to the matchup between the Buckeyes and Hoosiers, A to Z Sports has predictions for you.
Ohio State 31, Indiana 17
As long as there is no slow start for the Buckeyes, they should win this game by a couple of scores at home. If Siam’s is a cool story this season, but they are not 10-0 with a tougher schedule. The Hoosiers’ trip to Columbus will be a bit of a humbling for them. – Brandon Little
Ohio State 41, Indiana 24
While I have concerns about the Buckeyes' cornerback room against the nation's best back-shoulder-throwing offense, the Hoosiers aren't ready for the physicality that Ohio State has all over the field. Ohio State has been more aggressive blitzing in recent weeks, foreshadowing their strategy to get after Kurtis Rourke in the pocket. I think it pays off, creating a few sacks and turnovers. Ohio State has to win comfortably so they're able to quickly turn the page toward Michigan. – Ian Valentino
Ohio State 34, Indiana 17
The Indiana Cinderella story unfortunately ends this weekend. Led by quarterback Kurtis Rourke, this Hoosier offense is playing at a high level but they haven’t seen speed like the Buckeyes have. They just won’t be able to score enough with Ohio State, who should rely heavily on their strong running game. – Ryan Roberts
Ohio State 34, Indiana 20
Ohio State might play with their food a bit early on as they've been known to do at times, but ultimately the massive talent gap between these two rosters stands out significantly down the stretch. Indiana just struggled in their first game against a team with strong NFL talent in the trenches (Michigan). They should find even more difficulty scoring consistently against Ohio State. And the Buckeyes skill position talents should expose the Hoosiers. – Travis May
