Former Ohio State football player guarantees the Buckeyes will lose to a lesser Big Ten team on the road in 2026

The former Buckeye didn’t work out in Columbus and it’s clear that may have stuck with him.

The Ohio State Buckeyes’ 2026 schedule doesn’t do them many favors and it’s the toughest regular season slate they’ve had in some years on paper.

Ohio State will play Texas, Indiana, Oregon, Iowa, Michigan, and USC in 2026. A former Buckeye is guaranteeing that Ohio State will lose one of those games.

Former Buckeye Bryson Shaw guarantees USC will beat Ohio State in 2026

Bryson Shaw was a member of the 2019 recruiting class and spent three seasons with the Buckeyes before transferring to USC where he spent another three seasons. Shaw played a considerable amount for Ohio State in 2021, but was never able to lock down a starting spot for the long haul.

Shaw took to X recently to ‘guarantee’ to former Buckeye LB Steele Chambers that USC will defeat Ohio State when they play on Oct. 31.

Shaw went on to accuse Ohio State folks of kicking in a bubble, and that being why certain USC players aren’t known to them. The Trojans are coming off a 7-6 season a year after they went 8-5 in 2024.

Ohio State’s trip to USC comes after the bye week, which is good news with a road game at Indiana taking place the week before. The Buckeyes will host Oregon for the first game of November after the West Coast trip to USC.

The Buckeyes and Trojans haven’t played since a 2017-2018 bowl game the Buckeyes won 24-7. Ohio State is 1-4 all-time against the Trojans, but they’ve played just once since 2010.

Shaw is just rooting for the school where he found steady playing time here. Ohio State will be the road favorites when they make the trip to USC next fall — and with how tough the schedule is — it’ll be a game that the Buckeyes can’t lose.
