The Ohio State Buckeyes are returning to FOX’s Big Noon Saturday spotlight for just the second time this season, as they prepare to face the Illinois Fighting Illini on the road in Champaign on Saturday, October 11, 2025. This Week 7 Big Ten showdown marks a significant moment for both programs. Ohio State, currently undefeated at 5-0, will first host Minnesota in a primetime matchup before heading west. Meanwhile, Illinois, sitting at 5-1, is coming off a strong win over Purdue and will look to maintain momentum heading into this ranked clash.
The game also revives the historic Illibuck Trophy rivalry, which hasn’t been contested since 2017. Ohio State has dominated the series recently, winning the last nine meetings. Illinois last defeated the Buckeyes in 2007, a memorable upset in Columbus.
