The Ohio State Buckeyes are gearing up for Monday night's National Championship Game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

After a thrilling season, Ohio State has a shot at the title. Although defeating Notre Dame won't be easy, the Buckeyes have demonstrated that they are the most talented team in the country when they reach their full potential.

Ohio native and Buckeyes supporter LeBron James made his own contributions in support of his favorite team just hours before kick-off, which is really exciting. The Buckeyes released a stunning hype video featuring LeBron James as the narrator, adding to its appeal.

While James didn’t attend a four-year college, the Akron, Ohio, native was almost recruited by former Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel, who admired James' talent as a multi-sport athlete in high school.

From 1999 to 2003, James went to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, winning three basketball championships in four years. However, it was his football skills, particularly at wide receiver, that caught Tressel's attention.

“He was a good wide receiver,” Tressel said on the "It’s All About the Team" podcast. "He was a beast. All you had to do was throw it up there, and he could fly. And he was tough. He had everything.”

Fast forward two decades and James is now part of a hype video narration for the Buckeyes as they strive to win a national championship, culminating a memorable College Football Playoff season against Notre Dame on Monday night.

Titled "Chapter of Champions," the video showcases the team's journey since its last championship, along with historical stories.

"It is what it will always be – "Ohio Against the World," James said. "Our story is unfinished. Our story has one last chapter to write. The chapter of champions."

The Ohio State-Notre Dame game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN from Atlanta, Georgia. The Buckeyes reached the title game after defeating Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas, while Notre Dame defeated Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State.

Regardless of the outcome, James, like many others, will be watching closely, eager for a resolution to one of the most unforgettable seasons in recent history and a reminder of how sports can unite people. These events are seldom ones that James participates in without having a rooting interest, especially during his 22nd NBA season.
