When you are on the winning side in the rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan, things are going well. When you are on the losing side, the opposite can be said.
Ohio State recently lost to Michigan for a fourth straight time and it has left a bad feeling around the program when it comes to that game specifically.
Now, Michigan standout defensive tackle Mason Graham is rubbing salt in the wound a bit more. Graham took the time to mention Ohio State in his NFL draft decision.
“It has truly been an honor and a dream come true to represent the University of Michigan the past three years, winning to Big Ten Championships, the Rose Bowl, the 2024 National Championship, and of course, slapping Ohio State around not once, not twice, but three straight years,” Graham stated on Instagram.
Graham never had to deal with losing to Ohio State, as the Wolverines were victorious in each of his three seasons. The most recent was the worst of the losses for Ohio State since they were such big favorites. Graham recorded seven tackles in that game and it was likely the final game of his Wolverines’ career.
In April, Graham is widely expected to be picked in the top-10 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The ferocious defensive tackle is the best defensive line prospect in the draft and is indeed a difference-maker.
Graham played in 39 career games at Michigan and recorded 109 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. Graham also ends his college career with a National Championship, something that no Buckeye has been able to say in quite some time.
Michigan and Graham have earned the right to talk a little smack. They have owned Ohio State and Ryan Day for nearly a half-decade now. Only Ohio State can change tune on that, and until that happens we will continue to see shots like this taken.
