Ohio State is now well aware of the road that they have to take to winning their first National Championship since 2014.

A matchup with Tennessee sits in front of the Buckeyes and if they can beat the No. 9 Vols, they will get their much-awaited rematch with the No. 1 Oregon Ducks. Back in October, the Ducks edged out Ohio State 32-31.

Ohio State opened as -7 favorites over the Vols, according to ESPN Bet. Oddsmakers now have the Buckeyes as a -7.5 favorite. The over/under is set at 47.5 and the Buckeyes can be taken on the moneyline at -280.

The regular season did not end the way Ohio State wanted with a fourth straight loss to Michigan, which was the most disappointing one yet. That loss stopped Ohio State from reaching its goal of having a chance at a Big Ten Championship on their resume this season.

“At this point, it's like, this is what it is. We got a home game, we're playing Tennessee, and that's it, that's what we’ve got,” Ryan Day said on Sunday. “The one thing about this that I do like is the fact that you control your own destiny. We didn't have an opportunity to play in that game, we lost our last one. So now here's the situation that we have, now we’ve gotta go make the best of it.”

The pressure is on Day and the Buckeyes to make a run at winning it all. Their road is a tough one. If they can get past the Vols and Ducks, they will play either Arizona State, Clemson, or Texas. However, when you’re at this point in the season, you take the cards you are dealt.

Vegas thinks the Buckeyes take this one by a touchdown at minimum, but the game still has to be played. Buckeye Nation will get a chance to make an impact in the big night game on Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. on ESPN
