Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day answered a question this week that college football fans have been asking for the last several years.
And it has nothing to do with football — or anything that happens on the field.
For years, fans — mostly from opposing fan bases — have wondered out loud if Day dyes his beard black.

Day, who turned 46 last month, was asked about the "beard allegations" this week during an in-studio interview with WBNS.
The longtime college football coach was quick to point out that he, in fact, does not dye his beard.
"No," said Day with a chuckle when asked about the rumors that he dyes his beard. "I mean, there's plenty of grays in there, trust me. You just maybe can't see them. But try being the head coach at Ohio State long enough, you'll have plenty of grays. But yeah, people say that all the time and we just laugh.
"I mean, are you kidding me? I don't know if you see me in these press conferences, but I'm not exactly getting ready for the press conference. And then I've seen some pictures of when I first became the head coach and where I am right now — the last thing in the world I'm worried about is how I look."
So there you have it — Day's black beard, which includes a few grays, is all natural.
But even if it wasn't, who really cares? If someone wants to dye their beard, go for it. Who cares what anyone else thinks?
Day's graying process, though, should slow down after winning the national championship earlier this year. There's no doubt that a massive weight has been lifted off the New Hampshire native's shoulders.
