Recruiting never stops.

Ohio State is set to play Texas tomorrow in the Cotton Bowl and the winner will go to the National Championship to play either Penn State or Notre Dame.

After wins over Tennessee and Oregon, the Buckeyes are a trendy pick to win it all. The best roster in the sport has clicked at the right time and Ohio State has been hitting on all cylinders.

While the College Football Playoff is going on, the Buckeyes still have to be recruiting the transfer portal. Ohio State is set to get a key visitor in Columbus this weekend following the Cotton Bowl, per Bucknuts 247.

Offensive lineman Conner Moore is one of the most sought-after players in the portal right now since he entered just a few days ago. Moore is from Ohio, but started his career at Montana State where he was a Freshman All-American.

At 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, Moore has the ability to play guard or tackle and it is unclear where Ohio State could be looking to use him. The future NFL offensive lineman has two years of remaining eligibility, which could be beneficial for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State has landed two commitments along the offensive line out of the portal already. Rice transfer Ethan Onianwa and Minnesota transfer Phillip Daniels are two players the Buckeyes have scored already. Ohio State will have to replace both starting offensive tackles next season, as Donovan Jackson and Josh Fryar will be set to move on. Jackson has been filling in for Josh Simmons, who was injured and could be a first-round pick in the upcoming draft.

Ohio State is going to have a chance in this recruitment since Moore is from Ohio and a chance to come back home could be big. Moore’s versatility would be a plus for Justin Frye’s unit.

Just about all of the focus is on beating Texas in the Cotton Bowl, however, the Buckeyes have a key visit this weekend that is worth keeping an eye on.
