It always feels best to win a recruiting battle with your rival. The Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to land elite 4-star defensive tackle Aiden Harris this weekend as the North Carolina native makes his official visit. The Buckeyes are set to destroy Akron in Week 1.

Harris, a 2026 recruit who is the No. 2 defensive lineman across top scouting service sites, earned a crystal ball forecast from On3's insider Steve Wiltfong. Let's take a look at Harris and what's on the line this weekend for Ohio State.

Harris just received a scholarship offer from Ohio State last week, increasing his total to more than 20 opportunities. The No. 4 recruit out of North Carolina had received significant interest from Michigan, Miami, USC, and Notre Dame, among others.

The athletic 6-foot-3, 240-pounder from Weddington High School has a decent chance to become a true 5-star this fall. He's right on the edge of increasing his industry grade from 93.59 to 96.

Harris previously partook in the Carolina Panthers 'Keep Pounding High School Classic,' which was an opportunity to see the top 20 players across the state face off against each other.

Harris attends the same school as 4-star Buckeye commit Trajen Odom, who is in the 2025 class. It'll be fun to see the teammates reunite in Columbus in 2026, if Harris ends up making this official this weekend, as expected.
