Ohio State football has a huge visit set to happen this week with an elite five-star talent, and the Buckeyes have the inside track to land him
Ohio State is set to host the No. 1 player in the class of 2027, and he comes from a familiar bloodline with NFL pedigree.
With the Ohio State Buckeyes being back on the practice field for spring ball it also means recruiting is ramping up. Ohio State has the majority of its focus on the class of 2027 where they sit with nine commitments so far, but they do have an eye ahead to 2028 and 2029.
Ohio State is back at it for their second week of spring practice this week and they’re set to have a huge visitor this weekend. A player the Buckeyes badly want to add in the 2028 group.
Marvin Harrison’s brother is set to be in Columbus this week
Ohio State will host 2028 five-star WR Jett Harrison for a visit this coming weekend where he’ll take in a Buckeye practice. Jett is the younger brother of the former Ohio State star now playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Marvin. It’s not hard to connect the two players who are the sons of Pro Hall of Fame member Marvin Harrison who starred for the Indianapolis Colts.
The buzz around the 6-foot-1, 175-pound wideout from St. Joseph’s Prep (PA) is real. Harrison is the No. 4 player nationally and No. 2 wide receiver in the class of 2028, per 247 Sports Composite. Ohio State first offered Harrison back in May of 2025, and he had previously been recruited by Brian Hartline.
Visiting this weekend will be the first time for Harrison on campus since Cortez Hankton has been named the new wide receivers coach. Hankton will be the lead recruiter for Harrison, so even as an unofficial visit this weekend is an important one for all involved.
Ohio State should be seen as the favorite for obvious reasons. But there is going to be some serious cash offered to the younger Harrison in the form of NIL, so it won’t be an easy recruitment. Harrison will be just one of a list of key visitors in Columbus this week.
The Buckeyes have two commitments in the class of 2028 with five-star EDGE Jameer Whyce and four-star ATH Elijah Newman-Hall. Potentially getting Harrison into the class early would be huge for what the junior class could end up becoming in the end for the Buckeyes.
