Four-star WR De’Zie Jones and four-star LB Tarvos Alford both committed to the Buckeyes to make Student Appreciation Day a success on Saturday as it usually is.
Ohio State has dozens of recruits on campus this weekend between the classes of 2025 and 2026.
Alford is the No. 8 linebacker in the country and hails from Vero Beach, Florida. The new linebacker commit is the second linebacker in the class joining Eli Lee. Defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and first-year linebackers coach James Laurinatis led the recruitment of the talented linebacker.
Jones is a player who surely is going to receive a big boost in his ranking after committing to Ohio State. The four-star wideout is the No. 367 player in the 2025 class and the No. 49 wide receiver. A few days ago the Buckeyes lost a 2025 WR commit in Jayvan Boggs. The Buckeyes hit the East Coast to get Jones, as he attends DePaul Catholic in New Jersey.
Led by Brian Hartline, the Buckeyes will be adding plenty more to the class. Five-star WR Jaime Ffrench was on campus this weekend and is someone Ohio State is heavily after.
