Buckeyes Add Top WR to 2025 Class
A key factor in his decision was his strong connection with the coaching staff and their clear plan for him.
“The wide receiver play that they have at Ohio State,” Porter said when asked what stood out about the Buckeyes. “Ohio State is Wide Receiver U…I’m close with (Brian) Hartline. I had great conversations with him, which ultimately made me commit.”
Porter will be part of an exceptional Ohio State class ranked No.1 for 2025, alongside other highly ranked recruits like five-star cornerbacks Na’eem Offord and Devin Sanchez.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, which consolidates rankings from all four major recruiting media companies, Porter is listed as the 48th overall player. Furthermore, Porter is recognized as the 8th-best wide receiver nationwide and the top recruit in New Jersey.
Some evaluations rank him in an even higher regard, ranking him 31st overall nationally and 5th best wide receiver. They also maintain his status as the top recruit from New Jersey.

An adept receiver known for his remarkable ability to secure the ball and perform in competitive situations. Stands approximately at 6 feet and 2.5 inches, weighing 185 pounds with arms stretching 32 inches, measured before his junior year.
Porter is the leading target and has been highly productive for Bergen Catholic, a premier high school football program in New Jersey. By the middle of his junior season, he's already reached double-digit touchdowns. His superior ball-handling skills, along with his impressive arm length, contribute to a wide catch radius.
He exhibits strength at the point of catch and can effortlessly track the ball in mid-air. He poses a considerable threat in the red zone as a target for high passes and shows capability across the middle of the field.
Not only does he fight for extra yards after securing the catch, but he also has decent speed. However, his top speed and acceleration can be enhanced.
