The Ohio State Buckeyes have their final home game of the regular season when they host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Rutgers comes into the game with a 5-5 record on the season, and the Buckeyes are sitting at 10-0 and No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings

Ohio State is coming off a 48-10 win over the UCLA Bruins and all eyes will be on the health of their star wideouts for this game against Rutgers. Carnell Tate has missed the last two games and Jeremiah Smith only played about a quarter against UCLA. The Buckeyes may opt to rest Tate and Smith with the matchup with the Michigan Wolverines just over a week away.

Ohio State 35, Rutgers 7

I could see the Buckeyes opting to rest their top two pass catchers and allowing their depth to take over in this game. Ohio State is a 32-point favorite and they should roll to end their home games for the season. Julian Sayin is deep into the Heisman Trophy race and the Buckeyes are starting to get their run game going a bit. I expect the offense to still roll even if Tate and Smith don’t play, and the defense to be its typical self. Ohio State gives up a late touchdown that stops them from covering, but they take care of business otherwise. — Brandon Little, A to Z Sports Ohio State

Ohio State 38, Rutgers 10

The Buckeyes have been rolling and expect that to continue. Ahead of their matchup with Michigan next weekend, this could be looked at like a sort of “trap game” – but it’s hard to even project that for this OSU squad. The defense is teeming with NFL talent, and QB Julian Sayin is a Heisman Trophy candidate right now. They also boast the best pass-catching group in college football. Rutgers has found more offensive success than many expected this season, particularly through the air at times, but I don’t see that as the outcome in Columbus. Buckeyes stay hot and keep the top spot in the CFP rankings. — Adam Holt, A to Z Sports
