Ohio State star Caleb Downs and Colts WR Josh Downs are trying to take a page out of Travis and Jason Kelce’s book
The Downs brothers are trying to put themselves in elite company with the likes of the Manning and Kelce brothers
The NFL has had multiple incredible brother duos have success on the field. Ohio State Buckeyes star Caleb Downs hopes to be one half of a great duo when he joins his brother, Josh, in the NFL in the near future.
They seem to be hoping to do more than succeed on the field, though. Only a few NFL brother duos have also achieved success together in spaces outside of football, such as Peyton and Eli Manning, and Jason and Travis Kelce. The Manning brothers have their alternate Monday Night Football broadcast, “The Manning Cast,” and the Kelce’s have one of the biggest podcasts in the game right now, “New Heights.” Caleb and Josh are joining the media space before Caleb even makes the jump to the NFL. Their new show, “Downs2Business,” is set to launch this Wednesday, August 27.
Caleb Downs

Caleb has been a star since before he stepped foot on Alabama’s campus. Once he arrived, he became a freshman All-American and immediately looked like a future first-round pick. The Ohio State Buckeyes lucked out by landing Downs in the transfer portal following the retirement of Nick Saban. Saban’s retirement gifted Ohio State three players, including their starting quarterback, Julian Sayin.
Downs was superb for the Buckeyes last season, earning another All-American honor. He looked like the best defender in college football down the stretch and played lights out during the College Football Playoff. The star safety has become a fan favorite in Columbus for his work both on and off the field, where he has been heavily involved in the community. Downs is the most popular player on the team, behind only Jeremiah Smith, and his new podcast with his brother, who is already in the NFL, is primed for success, in my opinion.
Josh Downs

Josh has been an instant producer for the Indianapolis Colts since being drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s recorded 140 receptions for 1,574 yards and seven touchdowns. This year, the hope is that he can elevate his game to a new level and have his best season of the NFL career. In the promo video released for the Downs brothers’ new podcast, you hear Josh sharing that he has a goal to have his first 1,000 yards this season. I think that’s for sure doable. He recorded 803 points last year, but only played in 14 games. Hopefully, he’ll be able to have a career year and achieve success both on and off the field with this new, intriguing podcast featuring his brother, which will offer football fans the opportunity to learn more about these dynamic players.

Recent Ohio State first-rounder lauded for landing ‘difficult’ and ‘ridiculous’ plays already as rookie in NFL preseason
It hasn’t taken long for former Ohio State left tackle Josh Simmons to defy expectations and win the Kansas City Chiefs’ starting job as a rookie. Simmons tore his ACL last October, and he slipped to the end of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft as teams weren’t sure if he’d miss some […]
