The transfer portal is alive and active since it opened on Monday officially. Names are flying into it left and right and that includes a few Ohio State Buckeyes who have entered.

Ohio State will once again be aggressive in the transfer portal this year and the most important position they will need to address is offensive tackle.

It looks like the Buckeyes are inching toward landing one of the top players currently in the portal. According to Bill Kurelic, Ohio State has moved into a good position to land Nevada transfer offensive tackle Isaiah World.

World is rated as the No. 1 offensive tackle transfer by 247 Sports and would pencil in as a starter for the Buckeyes next season. Left tackle Josh Simmons has already declared for the NFL draft following a season-ending injury and right tackle Josh Fryar will be out of eligibility.

This season at Nevada, World started all 13 games at left tackle. Last year as a redshirt sophomore, World started all 12 games. All in all, World has 36 career starts on his college resume. That is a lot of football played and would give Ohio State a very experienced starter for their 2025 offensive line.

World is a 6-foot-8, 310-pound offensive lineman who was a three-star prospect back in the class of 2021. World had offers from Arizona State and Arizona as well as Nevada. Now, World is seeing a much louder recruitment as a top transfer.

Ohio State is going to add at least two tackles in the transfer portal. They are closing in on making World one of those that they add and he would check a big box that needs to be filled for next season.
