Big roster changes have to come for the Ohio State Buckeyes this offseason if they want to get out of the dark hole they’re in. Ohio State missed the NCAA Tournament for a third straight season with a 17-15 record.

So far, three Buckeyes have decided to enter the transfer portal. Center Austin Parks, forward Evan Mahaffey, and guard Meechie Johnson Jr. have all opted to leave Columbus.

Ohio State has landed one transfer portal player with former Indiana G Gabe Cupps deciding to play for the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes are in on multiple other players and one to watch could be Xavier transfer Dailyn Swain.

Potential Ohio State target Dailyn Swain to visit Texas and Sean Miller

When Miller took the job at Texas, it made sense for his top players to potentially follow him to Austin. Swain is set to visit Texas and the Longhorns will have a chance to land the talented 6-foot-8 wing forward who averaged north of 11 points per game in 2024-2025.

Ironically enough, Swain was huge down the stretch for Xavier in the First Four game where they eliminated Texas less than a couple of weeks ago. Now, Swain could end up playing the next year or two for the Longhorns.

Being a Columbus native, the Buckeyes have that working for them. Swain attended Africentric Early College in Columbus where he was a four-star recruit. Ohio State offered him out of high school but he opted to commit to Xavier.

Miller will get a chance to make his pitch to Swain on why he should come to Texas. Checking out the facilities and the area will also be key for someone coming from Ohio.

Many hoped that the Buckeyes would be able to make a run at Swain, but now the big-time target is set to take a trip to Texas. It looks like his landing spot could be following Miller to Xavier.
