Ohio State is 9-1 on the season after a win over Northwestern and it appears they are in line to pick up a big win off the field.
The Buckeyes have a few remaining targets left for their 2025 recruiting class and one of them just pulled their commitment from Alabama. Ohio State is now projected to land four-star running back Anthony Rogers, who was committed to the Crimson Tide for over a year.
Recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong predicts that the Buckeyes will land Rogers, who was on campus for his official visit when the Buckeyes hosted Purdue a couple of weeks ago. Rogers is rated the No. 8 running back and No. 141 overall in the class of 2025. The 5-foot-8 Rogers is from Montgomery, Alabama.
For the Buckeyes, to beat out Alabama for an in-state kid would be huge. It is notable that the Crimson Tide recently lost five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham to Ole Miss as well.
The Buckeyes want to take three running backs in this cycle with both Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson likely heading to the NFL after this season. Four-star running backs Bo Jackson and Isaiah West are currently committed to the Buckeyes.
Rogers will choose between the Buckeyes and Georgia next month on National Signing Day.
