2025 Two Round NFL Mock Draft: Colorado stars nab top spots, pass rushers dominate first round
The 2024-25 NFL season is officially halfway through, and what a season it's been so far. Week 10 is all but wrapped up, and we still have no real clarity on which teams are the top teams. Parity is at a recent high, and everything feels wide open for half the league this season. As […]
Ohio State Dominates 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1
Here are the players who landed in the first round of the 2025 NFL mock draft:
- Tyleik Williams, DT, San Francisco 49ers
- Josh Simmons, OT, Denver Broncos
Only two Buckeyes land in the top 32 picks despite both players dealing with injuries throughout this season. Tyleik Williams has been Ohio State's best defender when he's played, but his availability has wavered. The 320-pounder is one of the better pass-rushers in the country and is stout at the point of attack.
His landing spot in San Francisco makes a lot of sense. The 49ers haven't had elite tackle play for several years, and free agency losses have been a big reason why.
Simmons, coming off a torn ACL, is a little dicier. But he might be the best tackle prospect in the class, as Will Campbell is seen as a guard by some evaluators. If Simmons is healthy, he has a decent shot to go on Thursday night.
Round 2
Here are the players who found their way into Round 2 of the 2025 NFL mock draft.
- Emeka Egbuka, WR, New York Giants
- Denzel Burke, CB, Carolina Panthers
- Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Detroit Lions
- J.T. Tuimoloau, EDGE, Chicago Bears
- Davison Igbinosun, CB, Green Bay Packers
We don't see Quinshon Judkins go in Round 2 despite his obvious talent and the need for playmaking across the league, but I don't think this is unrealistic. Judkins has been good but not amazing as he's dealt with a hand injury and mediocre blocking. As a whole, the Buckeyes' run game hasn't propelled Judkins' stock higher than where he was at Ole Miss.
Who we did see matches what most have felt since before the 2024 draft. Emeka Egbuka surprisingly fell out of the first round of the mock, and that seems like a notable omission. However, it's not as if Egbuka is a dominant prospect, and he's never been the best receiver at Ohio State at any point, so he's not an NFL WR1.
The lone riser of this Round 2 group has been Davison Igbinosun. Known more as an athlete playing corner than a lockdown technician, Iggy has been the team's top cornerback this season. It hasn't even been close. If he declares, Igbinosun might go higher than Burke.
