The College Football Playoff is down to its final four teams, and a heavyweight favorite is entering the season's last three games. Ohio State is the betting favorite to win it all. Texas hopes to upend them in the Cotton Bowl, and then either Notre Dame or Penn State will face the winner in the National Championship game.

Former Florida and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has made his pick to win the College Football Playoff. Unsurprisingly, he's siding with the Buckeyes. In his podcast, The Triple Option, Meyer describes to Rob Stone how the Buckeyes can take care of business.

Meyer picked the Buckeyes because if their "Team A shows up, this will be a wrap. Ohio State will lift the gold trophy if their best players, the best roster in the country, they'll be national champions in a few weeks. We're witnessing it, I witnessed it in person the last two weeks.

They took on Tennessee and it wasn't even, Rob when I say it wasn't close, it wasn't even close. It was worse than that (40-17) in person. And then the game against Oregon was much worse, in person. Oregon, No. 1 team in the country, after the Wolverine game, I actually said Oregon to win the national title because…My understanding is Ohio State simplifying things with the offensive line, that's the one area they've struggled.

Every player on Ohio State will play in the NFL, every player will have a substantial [role] in the National Football – that's how good I think they are."

Meyer and the world seem to see this matchup similarly. The Buckeyes are big favorites early before the Cotton Bowl. They've already beaten Penn State in Happy Valley, as well. Plus, none of these teams are playing as dominantly as the Buckeyes have been.

But one game can bring any number of strange outcomes. Ohio State must stay sharp for Urban to be right. Texas is talented and deep on both sides of the ball, so this week's Cotton Bowl is not a gimme.
