The Oklahoma Sooners have already lost one commit from their 2025 class in Floyd Boucard, a defensive tackle from the Miami, Florida area. Before that, there was worry that one more recruit could de-commit from the Sooners and end up flipping to a rival, which would have hurt their class rankings dramatically.
The Sooners have recruited every position well, but of course, the defensive side of the ball is dominating. That doesn't mean they don't have great offensive recruits, too, because they have a great 2025 WR class. One of the headliners from that group is Cortez Mills, from Homestead, Florida.
According to On3, Mills is a four-star who committed to the Sooners a few months ago. Everything was great after that. That is, until he was seen on a visit to Nebraska, one of his top teams before he committed to the Sooners.
There were many people out there who believed that he could possibly flip to the Corn Huskers because of the things head coach Matt Rhule was doing over there, with their five-star freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola running the show, too.
So, it made sense, somewhat, of why the possibility was there that he could flip to Nebraska. But, then he tweeted out something that may have restored faith in a ton of the fan base.
Mills tweeted out a picture of the Sooners recruiting and coaching staff with himself in the Unity uniforms on the field, along with all of the other trophies the university has. He tweeted out a lock emoji, as in he's locked in with the Sooners, and he's not going anywhere.
This is nothing but amazing news for the Sooners.
