The Oklahoma Sooners have produced some massive talents over the last few years in college football, especially when it comes to the quarterback position.

We all know about Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, and Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, but it doesn't just start and stop at football when it comes to those prominent figures. The Sooners have produced some huge basketball talents, too.

Trae Young and Blake Griffin are the first two to come to mind, as both made it in the NBA as superstars, and both were local kids. Then there is Buddy Hield, a guy that completely took over at times in the tournament and took his team to a Final Four.

Last year, it was Jeremiah Fears, a true freshman guard who was easily the best player on his team. He was just drafted to the New Orleans Pelicans No. 7 overall in this last draft, and will now have the opportunity to become a franchise guy next to players like Brandon Ingram and Zion Williams.

Jeremiah Fears is compared to Kyrie Irving

Before he's even played a second in an actual NBA game, NBA analysts are pretty high on him and what he can do, and some are even comparing him and saying he can be the next Hall of Famer.

“He’s the second coming of Kyrie Irving," Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN.

Irving is a lock for the Hall of Fame when he retires, and is the greatest ball handler of all time. I can see the similarities in the way they get to the rim and use their body to finish tough layups, and they can both do it with both hands. But, let's let the kid play first.

Don't just throw these expactions at him. Let him create and write his own story.

Fears is going to be great, and he will be a fan favorite with his jersey number selection, which is No. 0, so that the back of his jersey reads "Zero Fears."
