The Oklahoma-to-NFL pipeline remains strong, and another Sooner set an NFL record this week. Just a few weeks after CeeDee Lamb set a historic milestone with the Dallas Cowboys, tight end Mark Andrews set another record, this time a franchise record.

On Sunday, Andrews set the Ravens franchise record for most career touchdowns with 48. He broke former RB Jamal Lewis's record. His 48 career touchdowns tie him for 17th all-time with Raymond Chester.

What makes this record even more impressive is that he has accomplished this in just 101 career games. Nobody ahead of him played fewer than 140.

Andrews, of course, is one of the best Oklahoma Sooners of the last several decades. The John Mackey Award winner and unanimous All-American in 2017, Andrews's 22 career receiving touchdowns are seventh all-time in Sooners' history, and he left Oklahoma with the most receiving yards by a tight end all-time.

Andrews parlayed his success with the Sooners into a third-round pick for the Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft, joining several other Oklahoma players like Baker Mayfield, Orlando Brown, and Obo Okoronkwo in being selected that year. He was selected 86th overall.

Funnily enough, Andrews was the second tight end the Ravens drafted that year, with the first being Hayden Hurst.

Andrews is an incredible story. Battling Type 1 diabetes his whole life, he has built a successful career in football despite the difficulties that has given him. A receiver in high school, Andrews switched to tight end as a freshman for the Sooners.

Now, he's one of the best tight ends in the NFL and a record-setter. As he and Lamar Jackson enter the prime of their careers, they will only keep putting up better and better numbers every season.

Andrews is six touchdowns away from moving into the top ten all-time for NFL tight ends, a feat that seems extremely likely to occur. He has carved out a remarkable career.
