The Oklahoma Sooners have been on a red-hot recruiting run over the last month, bringing in ten class of 2026 commits since mid-May, including elite quarterback Bowe Bentley. They are aiming for more, and one of them could be an intriguing local three-way star.
Braeden Presley, a three-star athlete from Bixby High School, is a top ten player in the state of Oklahoma in the 2026 class, and he is one of the most explosive athletes in the class.
Another multi-sport athlete, a trend the Sooners are heavily prioritizing, Presley is a proven track athlete as well as a contributor in multiple phases on the football field. He's posted 11.01 100M times as well as running on the 4×100, 4×200, and 4×400 relay teams.
On the football field, Presley is a dynamic threat as a runner, receiver, defensive back, and kick returner. In 2024, he caught 25 passes for 356 yards and 4 TDs on 14.2 yards per reception, while rushing 14 times for 245 yards and 2 TDs on 17.5 yards per carry. On defense, Presley recorded 39 tackles, 4 INTs, 1 FF, and 1 FR, including a 100-yard fumble return TD. His work as a returner is intriguing as well, as he produced 400-plus kick and punt return yards, averaging 19.9 yards and 10.7 yards, respectively, just last season.
What adds another level of intrigue to this recruitment is that the Sooners are the only in-state school that hasn't had a member of the Presley family on the roster. Braeden Presley's brothers, Brennan and Braylin, have both played receiver for Oklahoma State. Braylin currently plays for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
The Sooners have never really seriously considered either brother before, but Brennan Presley put up over 200 yards against Oklahoma in the last two Bedlam games and helped the Pokes beat the Sooners in 2023.
It seems like the new staff, much like with Ben Kolar, aren't eager to make the same mistakes again and want to rectify that.
Presley visited the Sooners during their ChampU BBQ this weekend, and reportedly enjoyed a phenomenal visit. Many have been skeptical of him joining the Sooners, given the family history, but this one feels like it has a great shot of happening.
We'll see where he slots in at, but it sounds like Oklahoma is viewing him as a defensive back and potential returner instead of a wide receiver like his brothers.
Oklahoma Sooners break a surprisingly cold streak with latest commitment of talented specialist in 2026 recruiting class
The Oklahoma Sooners have been on a roll with building their recruiting class of 2026, with nine commitments in the last month, including elite quarterback Bowe Bentley. Make that ten commitments now, as the Sooners have added on their best kicker recruit in nearly a decade now, pulling in Texas native Trace Rudd. Rudd, a […]
