Oklahoma Sooners' Brent Venables isn't even thinking about what fans may be suggesting after loss to Missouri

On Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners had a chance to clinch their 26th straight bowl game with a win over the Missouri Tigers. And, they almost had that, too. After a touchdown pass from running back Taylor Tatum to quarterback Jackson Arnold, yes you read that right, the Sooners tied the game late in the fourth.
But, that would only be the beginning of the madness.
The Sooners' defense would then get a scoop and score by safety Billy Bowman, and that would lead to one of the most exciting finishing in college football all year long. The Sooners just so happened to be on the losing end of it. They then went and allowed the Tigers to score, as former Sooners WR Theo Wease Jr. had an amazing touchdown.
After that, the Sooners would start their drive where they could really drive down the field and kick a field goal for the win. Well, that's what should have happened. Jackson Arnold had his second lost fumble of the game, which was scooped and scored for a touchdown.
Arnold just keeps having these plays that cannot happen, and it has to be frustrating for this coaching staff. So, after going through two quarterbacks and back to the original guy, fans are asking about the third guy on the roster.
"I don't know, we are not there right now at this moment," head coach Brent Venables said on possibly going to quarterback Casey Thompson.
Thompson is easily the most experienced guy on the roster at the position. The former Texas Longhorns quarterback has seen a ton of football throughout his career. But, I'm not sure that would be the smartest thing to do. There is a reason he was behind a sophomore and a true freshman.
And, the first time Arnold was benched I'm sure his confidence was tanked. Think about how bad it will be a second time. That's just not the smartest thing to do.
